The minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies is comprised of a minimum of 5 courses, configured as follows:

  • WGS 101: Introduction to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (required)
  • 4 additional approved courses (WGSS courses or approved electives);
  • one of the 4 additional approved courses must either be WGS 380 or 390 (Internship in WGSS or Independent Study in WGSS) or a 300-level seminar

Students can add a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies by filling out a “Petition to Committee on Academic Progress” form. The form must be signed by both a student’s academic advisor and the WGSS program chair, and should be submitted to the college registrar.

“Petition to Committee on Academic Progress” forms are available at the Office of the Registrar (217 Markle Hall) and the office of the Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies program chair  (117 Pardee Hall).
