The Minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies

The minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies is comprised of a minimum of 5 courses, configured as follows:

• WGS 101: Introduction to Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (required)
• 4 additional approved courses (WGSS courses or approved electives);
• one of the 4 additional approved courses must either be WGS 380 or 390 (Internship in WGSS or Independent Study in WGSS) or a 300-level seminar

Students can add a minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies by filling out a “Petition to Committee on Academic Progress” form. The form must be signed by both a student’s academic advisor and the WGSS program chair, and should be submitted to the Registrar.
